Besides the venue at Pariser Platz, the Akademie der Künste (Academy of Arts) also has an exhibition and performance hall at the Hansaviertel. The building at Hanseatenweg was constructed according to plans drafted by Werner Düttmann in 1960. The wide foyers, halls, garden yards, and club rooms are in good condition, with around 2000 square meters exhibition space. There is also a studio with a stage and a capacity of 700, artist studios and appartments. The house on the edge of the Tiergarten is an ideal place for artistic productions, exhibitions, performances, events, conferences, and workshops.
Besides the houses at Pariser Platz and Hanseatenweg, the archive venues Robert-Koch-Platz and Luisenstraße, the Brecht-Weigel-Gedenkstätte (Brecht-Weigel-memorial site), and the Anna-Seghers-Gedenkstätte (Anna-Seghers-memorial site) also belong to the Akademie der Künste.
