Museum Neukölln is an institution of the Kulturamt Neukölln. It understands itself as an innovative regional museum where an interchange between generations and different cultures is possible. Changing annual exhibitions inform the visitors about the newest results from the research of the regional history of Neukölln and its everyday culture. Like mosaics, they complete our reception of Neukölln. For the exhibitions, in cooperation with artists, media designers, and (theatre-) educators, attractive forms of interaction with the public get tested.
The collection reflects the diverse local reform traditions at the beginning of the 20th century in the areas school, health, house building as well as activities of resistance during the Nazi regime. Especially for school classes, guided tours and neighbourhood tours are offered. Museum education and the promotion of internships are of high value.
