What remains of the Palace of the Republic?
A chapter of German-German history is closed. The Palace of the Republic is only a memory. In its place there is a new building with the old palace facade, in which the Humboldt Forum has found its place. So it's time to look back. Was the demolition of the Palace the erasure of a piece of East German identity? Was there no alternative to this path or were there other options? What forms of memory of the Palace of the Republic are appropriate?
