Detail of an oboe by Giovanni Maria Anciuti from the collection of the Musikinstrumenten-Museum

The concert is dedicated to the instrument maker Giovanni Maria Anciuti (1674-1744), who worked in Milan around 1720. Many of his preserved recorders and oboes still serve as models for the reproduction of historical instruments.

Works by Antonio Vivaldi, Giuseppe Sammartini, Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Friedrich Haendel.
