Opened in 1876, the Alte Nationalgalerie brings together paintings and sculptures from the 19th century, including key works by Casper David Friedrich, Adolph Menzel and Édouard Manet as well as Johann Gottfried Schadow's group of princesses. A different focus is placed on each Sunday.
