Entwurf für „This is not only hi(s)story. This is OUR STORY”

Four poets express with their works how they feel, reflect and process colonial history: the Berlin hip-hop artist Amewu and the poets Cucuteni, Lamin Kargbo and Lysania. The evening will be accompanied by the translator Mirjam Nünning and the artist Nando Nkrumah.

In the context of the special exhibition "Castles. Prussia. Colonial.", Nando Nkrumah has developed an artistic intervention in the courtyard of honor of Charlottenburg Palace and expands the equestrian statue of Elector Friedrich Wilhelm with new dimensions of meaning by means of augmented reality. On this evening, he invites the Poet:innen to share their perspective as art-makers. The performed works are the expression of a personal processing and experience of history, the reality of life in the here and now, with a view into the future.

Those who would like to recite their own texts on the theme are cordially invited to submit their poem proposals, including information about themselves, by e-mail by August 1, 2023: schloesser.preussen.kolonial@spsg.de.
