Anlässlich des 75. Jahrestages des Inkrafttretens des Grundgesetzes für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland thematisiert die Führung an Hand von vier historischen Zäsuren wie sich die staatliche Grundordnung in den Verfassungen jeweils wiederfand. Gab es ein starkes Parlament? Waren die Grundrechte Teil der Verfassung? Und wer war an der Entstehung der Verfassung beteiligt?

Diese Fragen werden an den Wendepunkten der Friedlichen Revolution 1989, der Stalin-Noten 1952, der Ausrufung der Republik 1918 und der Revolution 1848/49 erörtert.
