Since 2000, the »Musikinstrumenten-Museum« organises the Jour fixe together with the Berlin conservatories. This successful and
very popular concert series aims to provide young musicians on all instruments with an audience and the chance for experiments prior to their diploma (and often still afterwards).

Originally dedicated to piano music only, the Jour fixe today reflects the whole range of solo and chamber music. What is more, it also enables the artists to present sound experiments and new performance techniques to a very open minded audience.
