The Long Night of Museums 2025 is dedicated to the topic of love and sheds light on how it was lived in the GDR. The focus is on the DEFA youth film “Seven Freckles”, which captivated more than 1.2 million visitors in 1978. It is the story of Karoline and Robert, who experience their first love at a vacation camp. The Ovosiston pill, which was first produced in the GDR 60 years ago, plays an important role. Three short guided tours invite visitors to take a walk through the GDR Museum and show the many facets of love in socialist society - from brotherly kisses to love of one's homeland and the first time. The Eisbären Berlin will also be visiting with an exhibition truck: two discussion rounds will be dedicated to fan love from its roots in the GDR to the present day.
