A public tour of Berlin-Karlshorst takes place every 2nd Sunday of the month at 3 pm.
Karlshorst was an important decision-making center during the Cold War. After the end of the war in May 1945, it became a Soviet restricted area. The Soviet military administration, secret services and troop units were located here. The Stasi and border control for the Berlin Wall were added later.
The tour leads to the former locations of secret and military facilities along Zwieseler Straße, Arberstraße, Bodenmaiser Weg and Köpenicker Allee.
