main content start,

Dr. Yvette Deseyve (curator and deputy director of the Alte Nationalgalerie) introduces the eventful history of the Nationalgalerie's collection: Under the title "Revisions of a Collection. Camille Claudel in the Nationalgalerie", she discusses the acquisition of the bronze "L'Implorante" by Camille Claudel in the summer of 2024. This not only establishes a direct link to the works of her teacher, mentor and lover, Auguste Rodin, in the Nationalgalerie's collection, but also closes a crucial gap in the field of Impressionist sculpture and adds an important addition to the collection of female artists.
