The architect, designer, professor and design patron Saša J. Mächtig is one of the most prominent Slovenian designers in the field of industrial design. His best-known and most acclaimed work is the K67 kiosk. With its modular design and branching system of elements, it exemplifies the essence of the designer's thinking and practice. Saša J. Mächtig's work is characterised by the systemic approach in which both individual products and design strategies are always conceived as part of a larger structure that can evolve, grow and change. Mächtig's design is inextricably linked to the concept of urban design. For him, urban space should not be equipped with individual, self-sufficient objects, but with open systems of flexible structures that create activity zones to promote everyday processes, the exchange of information and the participation of individuals.
