Just in time for Berlin Fashion Week 2025, designer, costume designer and drag performer Johannes J. Jaruraak, alias Hungry, enters into a visual and conceptual dialog with selected works from the collection presentation Zerreißprobe. Kunst zwischen Politik und Gesellschaft Sammlung der Nationalgalerie 1945 – 2000

On two afternoons, performers with specially designed or adapted costumes will spread throughout the entire collection floor of the Neue Nationalgalerie to enter into a visual and conceptual exchange with works by artists such as Bettina von Arnim, Angela Hampel and Wifredo Lam.

the intervention will take place throughout the collection display on

Thursday, January 30th from 4-8pm 

Friday, January 31st from 2-6pm.

As part of Volkswagen Group Art4All, admission to the exhibitions at the Neue Nationalgalerie is free on thursday from 16:00 to 20:00.

Due to the high popularity for the exhibition Nan Goldin. This Will Not End Well, a time slot ticket must be booked.
