Kooperationsveranstaltung der Mendelssohn-Gesellschaft mit der Botschaft von Irland, gefördert durch die Botschaft von Island, unterstützt durch Guy Oppenheim. Das Festival ist Teil von Zeitgeist Irland 24, einer Initiative von Culture Ireland und der irischen Botschaft in Deutschland.

Musik aus dem alten Irland und Europa: Siobhán Armstrong ist eine der führenden historischen Harfenspielerinnen Europas, die auf Kopien von Harfen aus dem 15. bis 18. Jahrhundert spielt. Sie tritt international mit den wichtigsten Ensembles und Dirigenten für Alte Musik auf und arbeitet mit den besten traditionellen Musiker Irlands zusammen. Sie ist Gründerin und Vorsitzende der Historical Harp Society of Ireland.
