The exhibition disturbance : witch approaches the theme of witchcraft from the perspective of contemporary art. The focus is on "the disturbing factor", which shakes the entrenched power relations and which is inherent in the figure of the witch.
The witchy, i.e. 'abnormal', 'irrational', 'magical' and 'wrong' resists the traditional role patterns and structures and thus poses a danger to the
the status quo of contemporary societies, which still knows and are masculine dominated.
The exhibited works analyse aspects of the hexical as attributions and projections on 'witches' or women and queer people, which are used as instruments of exclusion, and examine strategies and goals that serve as a 'witch-hunt
are virulent even in this day and age. The work not only investigates the physical, but also the digital space, in which the so-called new ...in a series of 'witch burnings'.
