Summer is returning to Spandau! The Gotisches Haus is showing works by sixteen visual artists who turned Gutspark Neukladow into an open-air studio in the first two weeks of June 2020, reviving a tradition that the impressionist Max Slevogt founded around a hundred years ago in Neukladow: painting en plein air! Our exhibition shows a selection of around 200 works that were created during the Summer Academy 2020 initiated by the Guthmann Academy in cooperation with the Spandau Cultural Office at the Plein air in the park. On view are paintings, drawings and graphics by ARATORA (Frank W. Weber), Antonia Bisig, Matthias Koeppel, Christopher Lehmpfuhl, Ulrike Pisch, Sibylle Prange, SOOKI, Frank Suplie and art students from the Berlin University of the Arts.
Exhibition catalog: Guthmann Akademie (publisher): Ein Sommer in Neukladow, Berlin 2020 (ISBN: 978-3-95410-276-01) available in bookshops for € 16.00.
