As part of the MEK’s 20th anniversary celebration, for eight weeks the 16th European Cultural Days will focus on aspects of the permanent exhibition Cultural Contacts. Living in Europe. The exhibition programme and special events will explore transregional and international influences on the culinary arts. Culinary migration is an important ingredient in today’s lifestyles. During times of great mobility, we assimilate ever more regional, international, transnational and transcontinental influences. At the same time, diets have changed significantly in recent decades. With the inclusion of as many cooperation partners from previous Cultural Days as possible, as well as other European institutions, museums and embassies, the cultural practices of “Eating and Drinking” in Europe are to be turned into a sensory experience.
