Which people flee for which reasons? What responsibility does Europe have when it comes to the causes of flight or the reception of migrants? The search for answers succeeds hand in hand with a consideration of European foreign and border policy. “Migration in focus” is an analysis of these correlations and explains our immigration society as a continuous process. “Escape forwards” ties in with this on the individual level: Refugees are part of our communities and shape our lives in such diverse and profound ways that a sweeping view does not do them justice. The exhibition portrays different people with migration experiences in regards to their wishes, their achievements and their struggle for recognition in Germany.

Since Monday, 29.3.2021 the museums and exhibitions at the Spandau Citadel are open again. Please note the hygiene instructions in the museum as well as the instructions for booking a time slot.
You can register for a visit to the Citadel and book a time slot for your visit via the eventbrite portal.
Please book the time slot for each person in your group individually.
Please adhere to the booked time slot and observe the further Corona / SARS-CoV-2 protective measures. In the museums and exhibition rooms of the Citadel, the wearing of a FFP2 protective mask is mandatory. In addition to registering, you must show a daily, negative Corona / SARS-CoV-2 test result when visiting the citadel.
From April 18, 2021, fully vaccinated visitors no longer have to show a negative test. Please note that the second dose of vaccine must have been administered at least 15 days in the past for this requirement to be met.
In addition, a negative corona quick test enables access for 24 hours from April 18, 2021 and no longer has to be updated daily.

The booking does not include an entrance ticket, which can be purchased on site. You will find further information on this under your visit.
The booked three-hour time slot is valid for visiting the museums and exhibition rooms on the Citadel. You can visit the outdoor areas of the fortress all day on the booked day.
