Karl Menzen created an extensive oeuvre four decades that can found in the public venues of many many places. Alongside these, he made a variety//multitude//great number// of sculptures and drawings that can found in a variety of public and private collections. With the intention of both preserving the estate of Karl Menzen as well as presenting an overview of his work to a broad public, a major exhibition project is set to open in three institutions in early summer 2021: Die Kulturstiftung Schloss Britz will exhibit artworks from every creative cycle of the metal sculptor in the temporary exhibition hall of the mansion and in the Schlosspark beginning on the 5th of June 2021. This exhibition will be the very first attempt at gathering a retrospective, made up primarily of artworks from his comprehensive estate and an important loan from a private collection. Lively drawings and sketches of sculptures, that have been relatively unknown until now, will be given an abundance of space allowing for the viewer to follow the artistic process from beginning to end.

Tuesday to Sunday, 12:00 – 6:00 PM
