An exhibition in cooperation with Georg Kolbe Museum.
The first retrospective of the British sculptor Lynn Chadwick (1914–2003) in Germany centres around 70 sculptural works, various drawings and graphic art, as well as an extensive range of archive material, showing the impressive development of Chadwick’s work, who led the way for British post-modernism from the early 1950s until the late 1990s.
At Haus am Waldsee, Chadwick’s late work is brought in context with two German sculptors: Hans Uhlmann (1900–1975) and Katja Strunz (b. 1970). The exteriors of both institutions are going to present large-formatted works by Lynn Chadwick in an impressive manner.
