In the work presentation of the Junge Akademie, 14 international artists from all sections of the Akademie der Künste will show work that they created within the framework of the 2019 artist-in-residence programme. This includes newly conceived or further developed ideas realised in a range of different media and disciplines that deal with themes such as the origin and expression of narratives and visual worlds, or artificial intelligence and digitization. The work explores the question of how stories and truths come about, while examining and questioning the perception of inner and outer, and of nature and culture, as revealed in the random character of narratives. The interdisciplinary exhibition format includes screenings, interactive installations, performances and concerts, discussion formats as well as talks, and presents the diversity of the positions.
