The collection of the Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung (Egyptian Museum and Papyrus Collection) includes masterpieces of the different periods of ancient Egypt.
Statues, reliefs and objects of small art as well as monumental works of Egyptian architecture bear witness to the period from 3000 BC to the time of the Romans.

Besides the bust of Queen Nefertiti, whose painting has been preserved without restoration since the Amarna period, the portrait heads of the royal family and members of the royal court are unique.

The "Berlin Green Head" (500 BC), named after its stone color, is considered the most important work of the Egyptian Late Period.
The collection of the Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung has been on display in the Neues Museum since 2009.
