C/O Berlin is an exhibition house for photography and visual media. As a non-profit foundation, it presents works by renowned artists, promotes young talent, and invites visitors on journeys of discovery through our visual culture. As a place of encounter, C/O Berlin organizes artist talks, panel discussions, film screenings, and guided tours, offering visitors a direct exchange about the exhibition program and current debates in visual media.

The promotion of young talents on their artistic path is an integral part of the work. As the only sponsorship award in Europe, the C/O Berlin Talent Award annually honors a tandem of artist and theorist up to the age of 35.

The C/O Berlin Education section complements the program with the important part of visual education and art mediation. The formats Junior, Teens, Adults, and Perspectives offer the opportunity to learn about photography, film, and design under professional conditions and to playfully transform them into one's own ideas.

The C/O Berlin Foundation operates independently of commercial interests and is financed by admission proceeds, book sales, sponsorship, project funding, donations, and grants from the support association C/O Berlin Friends. Since the 2020/2021 budget year, C/O Berlin has received funding from the Senate Department for Culture and Europe and the Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Business.

Since 2014, C/O Berlin has been based in the Amerika Haus at Bahnhof Zoo, which has been renovated in keeping with its status as a historic monument. The Amerika Haus was built in 1956/57 by Bruno Grimmek as a cultural meeting place and information center.
