Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien Closed
Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien is an exhibition space for contemporary art that hosts up to six group-oriented and theme-based exhibitions per year. The space is located next to other cultural institutions on the premises of the former Diakonissenkrankenhaus Bethanien (Deaconess Hospital Bethanien) at Mariannenplatz in the borough of Kreuzberg. Artistic approaches to current social and cultural processes are presented on a space of 450 m² as part of exhibitions such as "HACK.Fem.EAST. Frauen und Technologie in Netzwerken" (2008), "Reise nach Jerusalem. Künstlerische Positionen zu Religion, Tradition und Tabu" (2012) and "Hungry City. Landwirtschaft und Essen in der zeitgenössischen Kunst" (2012). The exhibition projects are accompanied by tours, films and artist discussions and are often carried out in cooperation with other institutions, curators and artist groups. Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien is an institution operated by the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Borough government.
