Since 1 November 2024, Cecilienhof Country House has been closed until further notice due to renovation work as part of the master plan for the Prussian palaces and gardens! The House (Schloss Cecilienhof), built in the style of an English country house, is located in the north of the New Garden on the banks of Jungfernsee. It was commissioned by Kaiser Wilhelm II from 1913 to 1917 as a residence for Crown Prince Wilhelm of Prussia and his wife Cecilie.

The architect Paul Schultze-Naumburg grouped the individual buildings around several inner courtyards and adorned the façade with elaborate half-timbering and decorative chimneys. The upper floor housed the private apartments of the crown prince and princess, which, following their restoration, now convey an impression of the upscale living culture of the early 20th century. A cabinet of the crown princess, designed as a ship's cabin, has also been preserved in its original form.

From July 17 to August 2, 1945, the Country House was the focus of world attention as a meeting place for the victorious powers of the Second World War. The rooms on the first floor were set up as a conference room and study for Soviet head of state Josef Stalin, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and US President Harry S. Truman. They can be visited as a historical site of the Potsdam Conference. The Potsdam Agreement, which defined the political and territorial post-war order for Germany and Europe, was signed in the large hall.
