Museums and Covid-19
Almost all Berlin museums are open in compliance with hygiene rules. In some cases, an online or time slot ticket must be booked or an appointment made before a visit. If you would like to visit a museum without booking an appointment, there may be waiting times at the entrance.
As of 1 April, in accordance with the SARS-CoV-2 Infection Protection Measures Ordinance of the State of Berlin, both the obligation to wear an FFP2 mask and the 3G access restrictions have been dropped when visiting museums and cultural events.
However, with reference to the exercise of domiciliary rights, the following measures are still possible in museums:
- Obligation to wear a respirator mask
- Adherence to the minimum distance
- Admission upon presentation of 3G proof or test proof only, as long as free citizen tests are available.
