Corona Virus (COVID-19) Precaution
Berlin's Museums Temporary Closed

In Berlin, almost all museal institutions are temporarily closed due to COVID-19 prevention (information provided without final guarantee) until April 19, 2020 or until further notice.

In order to inhibit the spread of the new lung disease caused by the "Corona" COVID-19 virus, the Berlin State museums, memorials and galleries and all institutions which are sponsored by the State of Berlin have closed their doors until Sunday, April 19, 2020. The measures are intended to protect the health system from massive burdens and, in particular, to protect vulnerable people from infection. This was announced by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe on the evening of March 12, 2020 in an official press release.

A short time later, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin also closed their houses until after the Easter holidays in Berlin. In the meantime, almost all other exhibition venues in Berlin have ceased to operate until April 19, 2020 or until further notice. In our museum list you find the current closing times and some information on returning and refunding tickets that have already been booked as well as new dates for individual exhibitions and events.

As of March 18, 2020, 4 p.m.
